New Patients

Camelford Medical Centre has its main surgery in Camelford town centre, with branch surgeries in Delabole and St Breward.

Although you register with Camelford Medical Centre, you can be seen at any of our locations.

We can dispense medications to any patient who lives more than one mile from the neareest pharmacy. This will include most of our patients who live near Delabole and St Breward as well as some who live near Camelford. We dispense medications from our St Breward Surgery and these are delivered to Camelford and Delabole where patients can collect them.

The below links will allow you to 'register' via Camelford, or a branch surgery whilst being able to be seen at any location.

If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.

You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that practice.

To register as a temporary patient simply contact the local practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.

The surgeries at Camelford and St Breward are accessible by patients using a wheelchair. The Delabole surgery is not accessible by wheelchair due to a deep step. One of the consulting rooms in Camelford is upstairs, however if this will cause any difficulty, please let the receptionist know, at the time of booking, so that alternative arrangements can be made.
